For The Love Of It

The Caring Music Group is set to host an exclusive musical cabaret, “For the Love of It,” at 75 Stutson Street. This special performance seeks to raise funds for a unique initiative by the charitable organization, RocDog.

Established as a non-profit in March 2021, RocDog has dedicated itself to offering Therapy Dog Services throughout Western New York. Their mission is clear and heartfelt: to bring joy to communities through their Therapy Dogs, fostering smiles, chuckles, and spontaneous laughter. Many have observed the transformative effect these dogs have, illuminating someone’s day and igniting moments of happiness and laughter precisely when they’re most needed. RocDog’s approach has always been distinctively compassionate.

As RocDog volunteers engaged with local communities, they discerned an immense need for therapy and support dogs within families with special needs. However, the logistical and financial hurdles in obtaining the right dog meant this crucial requirement often went unfulfilled. To address this gap, RocDog launched “Paws for Hearts,” a commendable initiative to rescue, foster, train, and match certified Therapy/Support Dogs with these special families. “Paws for Hearts” endeavors to shoulder a significant portion of the training and placement expenses. With continued community support, they aspire to achieve their ambitious goal of placing one dog every month.
